Santa charity fun run in Broughton Astley this weekend has a great winning prize
Gutsy Mike Price, the contract manager for operator Parkwood Leisure, will be running as a Christmas pudding.
And the first runner to catch him will pocket a coveted year’s membership worth £307.40 at the top-notch new £4.5 million sports complex.

Hide AdCllr Clive Grafton-Reed, chairman of Broughton Astley Parish Council, said: “Our brilliant new leisure centre is opening on Tuesday (Dec 10).
“So the charity run will be the perfect curtain-raiser for it.
“We’ve had to wait a long time for this and people all over the area are looking forward to it.
“It’s going to be a massive asset and help make local people happier, healthier and fitter.”

Hide AdHe added: “We’ll bring in our staff on Tuesday and people will be able to come in and use the gym and have a look around.”
Over 700 people from Broughton Astley as well as surrounding villages have already signed up to the bold new venture.
Sunday’s Santa run, which will feature both 3k and 5k events, will start in Main Street, Broughton Astley.
Set to feature up to 400 bravehearts, you can register at 10am, warm up at 10.30am and start running at 11am.
